ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
CID MENA AWARDS 2021, Concept - Finalist
The Ministry of Presidential Affairs awarded us their HQ project in April 2021. This architectural ode to Emirati heritage spans 3,000 sq.m in Abu Dhabi, standing as the distinguished abode for the U.A.E’s eminent representatives. Conceived to house offices and amenity spaces for VVIP employees and government officials, the interiors hold a deeper purpose—a sanctuary for confidential global affairs. Seven towering pillars guard a black pearl, VIP entries echo the founders’ power, and loom-inspired screens tell tales of cultural unity. We titled our work “The Fabric of a Nation.” Each area of significance is inspired by Emirati fashion or the art of Sadu fabric making. Threads and traditional looms are also alluded to throughout.
