Brand Creative Dubai on Ikea’s ‘Let’s Play for Change’ Exhibition

‘Let’s Play for Change’ was one of my favorites in the 2017 Dubai Design Week series of events. As with previous years, Ikea succeeded to impress us interior designers at Brand Creative Dubai with their strategically designed exhibition that encourages visitors to interact. As one of the major influencers in interior design and sustainable living, Ikea transports visitors into an experiential world of fun, with each section seeking to amaze, delight and encourage you to play.  

The Swedish furniture maker aimed to bring out the child in every guest and inspire people to integrate play and sustainability into their everyday routine. The concept was developed after a broad research phase was conducted and Ikea found out that 96% of the UAE population think is important to play as an adult, 66% play with their kids every day, 24% choose to play to discover new things and to get away from their daily routine.

    'Let's Play for Change' is not only the name of the exhibition that took place in Dubai Design Week, but it is also an ongoing campaign held by The Ikea Foundation, a cause that collaborates with charities that support children’s development through participation in sports and play. The ‘Let’s Play for Change’ campaign supports the efforts of Handicap International, Save the Children, Special Olympics, Room to Read, UNICEF and War Child to prevent unsafe migration of children by promoting protection, education and play for those affected by poverty, disablility and migration.   By Talar Bardakjian, Brand Creative Dubai Interior Designer Let's Play For Change Exhibition Design Week 2017 Let's Play for Change Campaign
