Store Layout Tricks Interior Companies In Dubai Commonly Use

The design of retail space has a two-fold purpose: to create a suitable space to stock items and to sell products. As such, interior companies in Dubai draw heavily from architecture and interior design, adding elements from industrial design, advertising and even ergonomics. The end goal of the designer is not simply to catch the eye of prospective buyers. More importantly, the goal is to communicate the brand's message and sell its products.

Regardless of whether you are selling luxurious fashion accessories or your own version of “cronuts,” here are a couple store layout principles you can implement in your retail store.

The sale must begin even before a customer walks into your shop. As such, do not undermine the power of having a compelling window display. Some retailers make two essential mistakes: doing without a window display and cramming the display window with unnecessary items. Your goal would be to draw customers in by showcasing your choicest products.

In the same manner, do not make the mistake of leading your customers into a dead end, which can be a stockroom or a blank wall. If you have long aisles, utilize them purposely to lead your customers to another area where you showcase your other products.

When a customer enters your store, you want him or her to linger and check out all of your products and not simply grab something and go. In order to achieve this, you must make an effort in creating an appealing display upfront where customers can look at and touch the products you want to showcase. However, avoid the mistake of racking your items too high that it blocks the view of customers of the entire store. Instead, use shelves of a lower height to enable them to have an unobstructed view of your whole store.

Studies have revealed that people naturally move to the right when they navigate a store's interior. In order to take advantage of this, there are several things you can do including using visual elements and even adjusting your store's physical layout to draw them to the right side of your store and make them navigate it in a counter-clockwise fashion.

Another study has revealed that about 20% of a store's merchandise is ignored by customers. The main culprit for this is that customers have to contend with long aisles displaying one product after another. You can avoid this by simply making a visual break. This can be as simple as adding a sign or display element that breaks up the monotony.
